[The journal clicks to life - shaky at first, then clearing up to show Ellie's excited face.]
Oh man- is this what used to happen during Christmas? The whole surprise-gifts-under-the-tree or whatever... it's kind of late, and yeah, there's no tree, but--!!
[She turns the journal around to show her sparsely-decorated apartment at first, and then, when she fixes it, a big, box-style arcade machine, the game title of "The Turning" splashed across the front in faded letters. It looks kind of beaten up, but not in too terrible a condition.]
Does anybody know about this game? It's supposed to be so cool, I heard all about it from a friend back home. I can't get it to work, though... they're supposed to be plugged in, right? It's in the middle of the room, so the cord won't reach anything.
Can somebody strong come over and help me move it? I wanna give it a try! ...And if it doesn't work, would anybody know how to fix this kind of thing?

Uh... I think this is one of those things where we need a big guy around to do the heavy lifting for us.
[No shame in getting someone else to do the tough work.]
An extension cord might do the trick, though. If you've got one.
video
I'm sure I can go grab one at the store. They've got everything there, I can go there and be at your place in five minutes.
[And he's giving her a smile that is just asking if it's okay. Because, video games.]
video
I don't mind. It's the... Heart building. Room seven.
[She can't get over the dorky name, but it's home. Kinda.]
video -> Action
[And by anyone's definition of soon, this would probably be strange. Considering the Flame Building is all the way on the other side of the village.]
Okay, see you there.
[And off the video he goes. Now normally it'd probably take him a good 15-20 minutes to go to the store and then to Ellie's. But, the magic of pixie dust helps cut the time. Thank gosh he has a whole bottle of it.
Just a pinch and he's off. To the store for an extension cord and then to Ellie's. And to top it all off, he manages to find the window of Room 7 on the second floor.
Tap, tap, tap, he'll just float outside it. All glowy and golden and stuff. No big deal.]
Action (henry you are so lucky she's not armed)
Someone doesn't deal too well with unexpected events.]
Action(no kidding, i'm not sure he's good enough yet to believe bullet injuries away)
Henry has to take a seat the window quickly as he lets the dust wear off. Was she still not used to how weird Luceti could be? Or was this a fear to flying boys?
Uh, okay. Awkward. What's he going to do now just sitting outside here?
All he can do is tentatively and pathetically tap on the window again. He'll be calling in through the window to her. Oh gosh maybe he should've just walked!]
E-Ellie? It's just Henry! Is everything okay?!
no subject
At the noise - again - she cautiously peers around the arcade box to check the window. And... sure enough, she wasn't imagining it. There's a kid sitting outside her window. She's on the second floor.
What.
The.
Hell.]
no subject
All she's doing is looking at him as he sits there in the cold.
WHAT DID IT TAKE FOR HER TO OPEN UP?! HIM FALLING!?
'Cause that's a possibility!]
Ellie, it's fine! It's just pixie dust!
no subject
But whatever, it's the weirdest thing she's seen in a while, so she manages to get up and open the window for him, pulling him in before she feels tempted to shove him off the ledge or something.]
What the hell, Henry! Don't people use doors where you come from? How did you even do that!?
no subject
And then yanked right inside and now she's getting angry at him. Look at this face, Ellie. It's like an injured puppy.
But, yeah he does feel a bit bad for scaring her.]
Sorry, flying just seemed faster and you wanted to play that so badly I thought it was for the best.
[To her other question all he can offer is pulling out a bottle of glowing dust.]
I used pixie dust. You know, like from Peter Pan.
no subject
Peter Pan? Pixie dust? I don't know that one.
[Oh god, though, why is it glowing?]
no subject
[Gosh, where did you come from to not know that story, Ellie?]
It's basically about a boy who lives on an island where he never grows up with his friends called the Lost boys. And they fight pirates and have adventures and use pixie dust to fly.
[He's quick to add:]
But, don't believe it. The real Peter Pan isn't good.
no subject
[Seriously? Like, okay, she just saw him floating outside her window, but still. Pirates and pixies and staying young forever?]
no subject
[Yes, it's real, Ellie. You are in a land of magic already. How is this not believable? ]
no subject
Okay, fine, so you flew with... pixie dust. You still should've warned me first! If I'd had a gun I'd have shot your head off, geez.
no subject
You're not that much older than me! Who'd let you have a gun!?
[Okay, not the point.]
And that's a bit drastic.
[All he can do is sound annoyed because wow, this face. He doesn't want ruined.]
Whatever. Fine I'll make sure to let you know.
no subject
[Well, okay, technically Joel let her. But it's hers here.]
Anyway, that's the game. Think you can move it after all?
[She points. See? It's big. Very heavy. Go on, impress her.]
1/2
[Because wow, his mom wouldn't even let him look at her gun.
But his attention is drawn to the game and wow...yup. That does look big and heavy.
But he's not about to back down now. He can do this!
Hopefully...
So, he walks over to it, looking back at her just a bit looking unsure still and...well he starts trying to push it.
And it's not moving...]
2/2 Since kurt already did his magic
Henry just pushed so hard he fell over and hit his face on the ground.]
Ow.
[He tried.]
i've given up on continuity
Wow, Henry, you sure showed it what's what.
Re: i've given up on continuity
[He rubs his face checking to see if his nose is bleeding and or broken.. Nope, it's good.]
Well, I brought the extension cord for a reason.
no subject
Heh, okay, pass it here. We can at least try playing it a bit before someone can actually move it.
no subject
[And he tosses it to her.]
Have you even played this thing before?
no subject
Nope! But I'm gonna learn, and so are you.
[Because it's totally going to work.
no subject
That shouldn't be too hard. And I'll try not to beat you too badly.
[Yeah, it's friendly teasing but he still totally plans on winning.]
